Same thing happened and is happening to me 2 years in a row! You have no idea of the *** job THEY made! Last year same. Couldn't believe it would happen to me AGAIN and they received far more from me per month last year and even more this year! I had previously been happy with Horizon BCBSNJ, but that changed today. I thought I had cancelled my coverage on the Marketplace when I received coverage through my employer. Then I received a bill from Horizon. I called the Marketplace and they said that it had not been cancelled so they cancelled it. I received another bill from Horizon for a prorated rate. Another insurance company cheating their customers by playing Dr. Two different Dr's have tried to send me for a much needed MRI and Horizon BCBS has denied their requests and will only allow Mr to get a worthless contrast free CT scan. Not only is this test not going to show my pituitary glad which is what the Dr's are trying to see, but it's causing me radiation harm and will cost me money. Oh I have almost the same one! but it has been since July 31,2015, Horizon BCBSNJ cancelled my wife's insurance because they entered her SS# in incorrectly! She had no health insurance until I filed 3 appeals with them all was covered out of pocket! Finally September 18th 2015 they figured out that they entered my wife's SS# in one digit off. Not only is the insurance un-affordable with ridiculous deductibles, specialists are not covered, I must carry unnecessary maternity and pediatric dental care AND this is the second year that Blue Cross can't reconcile my payments. I took my complaint to the NJ Department of Banking and Insurance. They blamed the fact that the Marketplace is under Federal jurisdiction. The incompetence of this insurance is just mind blowing. I spent at least one hour on the phone with a representative to have the name of my doctor changed. My initial doctor's choice was cancelled when the policy was renewed beginning of January 2016. Tried to modify online, but their website is experiencing "technical difficulties" for the past three days. I am so cancelling my policies with them. The worse customer service ever. Changing... They tried to deny my claims, when I called to get them reviewed, they told me I had to send snail mail to get it readjusted...who sends snail mail any more?! Then when they did finally realize that my benefits do cover simple blood tests they readjusted after at least a dz. emails and another dz. phone calls!! then to top it off..they readjusted after a few weeks to then take it away again, saying to call them, when I called they said I had to... 1. On May 1, 2015, my husband went for a covered visit to Penta Hearing Care. Mei Gao, the audiologist is part of Penta Hearing Care which is covered by our husband/wife Horizon Advanced Silver plan. 2. i had a small group policy thru my business and was in a horizon hsa with a $1226.26/month premium, a 5k deductible and 10k max out of pocket. i had a downturn in my business and could not afford the premium. i applied for obama care on 1-13-2015 and was told i needed to submit additional documents in order to be covered for 2-1-15. i submitted the documents but there was a delay in processing my application. i received a letter on 2-14-15...
